Agent calls talk about Tiger Woods' chipping 'nonsense'

Now that Tiger Woods is ready to return to competitive golf, his agent wants to clear up one thing that’s being said about Tiger’s game.

“I know there have been comments about his chipping again, that that’s what is keeping him from coming back,” Mark Steinberg said Tuesday. “That’s nonsense.”

In withdrawing from the Safeway Open in October, Woods described his game as “vulnerable,” which led to all kinds of speculation about what that meant.

What is clear is that Woods has missed his time away from the game.

“I like beating those guys,” he said in an interview with Charlie Rose last month. “That’s why I practice all those hours … is to be ready to take on those guys down the stretch. And do I miss it?
