Who’s hot: Dalvin Cook. With three consecutive 100-yard games, the NFL’s rushing leader is demonstrating that despite the heavy investment in Kirk Cousins, the Vikings’ offense may be better off with an old-school formula. His whopping 6.6-yard average carry is padded by a 75-yard jaunt at Green Bay in Week 2, but it is also an indication that he can break a big one at any instant. Cook is quite the fit for the revamped scheme that Minnesota coach Mike Zimmer prescribed: Kevin Stefanski was elevated to replace dumped O-coordinator John DeFilippo, O-line coach Rick Dennison was brought in to install zone-blocking schemes, while Gary Kubiak was added for consulting brainpower. Now let’s see if Cook can be a difference-maker in his stiffest test yet at Chicago. The Bears swept their NFC North rival last season and have been typically stingy against the run. They have yet to give up even a single 20-yard carry this season…
