Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians emphatically put to rest any thoughts that his team would reunite their new quarterback, Tom Brady, with talented, yet troubled, free-agent wide receiver Antonio Brown.

“It’s not gonna happen. There’s no room. It’s just not gonna happen. It’s just not a fit here,” Arians said in an interview on the “Tiki and Tierney” show on CBS Sports Radio, adding “I just know him, and it’s not a fit in our locker room.”

Brady and Brown have a close relationship, and the two played one game together early in the 2019 season.

Brown was released by the Oakland Raiders after a troublesome training camp that included such adventures as his cryotherapy-damaged feet and a dispute over his helmet, all of which played out for a television audience on HBO’s “Hard Knocks.” The New England Patriots signed Brown, who appeared in a Week 2 win over the Miami Dolphins and then released him just five days later amid mounting off-the-field troubles.
