The Los Angeles Clippers received some devastating news on the injury front on Tuesday afternoon, as point guard Chris Paul will be out indefinitely (right hand fracture) and power forward Blake Griffin will miss the remainder of the postseason (re-aggravated left quad injury).
They both suffered the injuries in a Game 4 loss in the first-round series against the Portland Trail Blazers on Monday night.
Paul’s injury occurred in the third quarter when he attempted to swipe the ball away from Gerald Henderson as he drove to the basket. Paul was noticeably upset when leaving for the locker room after the injury, and eventually left the arena with a cast on his hand and his arm in a sling.
On Tuesday morning, he underwent surgery to repair the injury. Typical recovery time is anywhere between three-to-six weeks.
