Devils exhale with Taylor Hall not seriously hurt

MONTREAL – Neither Taylor Hall nor Marcus Johansson, nor Kyle Palmieri for that matter, will play on Thursday night.

But Hall’s absence because of a right knee contusion may be short-term, and Palmieri may soon be back from a broken right foot.

“I feel pretty good,” said Palmieri, who participated in his first full team practice on Wednesday in Newark since getting injured blocking a shot on Nov. 20. “It feels good in the skate and it’s not something that bothers me when I’m on the ice. It’s just getting back to game speed and feeling good about my game on the ice before I play.”
