NY Giants will not suspend rookie quarterback Kyle Lauletta for traffic incident

EAST RUTHERFORD — Giants rookie quarterback Kyle Lauletta will not be suspended by the team for his recent arrest and traffic charges.

Giants head coach Pat Shurmur made the announcement Tuesday, adding that Eli Manning will start Monday night in San Francisco against the 49ers.

Shurmur said there is no commitment for the rest of the season beyond Monday night’s game, but added he hopes Manning can get the Giants on a roll and that the decision is made for them in that manner.

Lauletta was arrested on Oct. 30 in Weehawken while on his way to practice, allegedly almost hitting a police officer with his vehicle while trying to escape, police said.
