Timberwolves president of basketball operations and head coach Tom Thibodeau thought of a great way to reward the franchise’s sales staff that has been working hard selling ticket plans.
On Friday, the day after the NBA Draft, Thibodeau happily brought everyone pizza.
The sales team was especially busy the night before following the announcement that the Timberwolves made a trade with the Bulls to bring Jimmy Butler to Minnesota. The chief revenue officer, Ryan Tanke, told the Pioneer Press’ Jace Frederick that the current demand for tickets is unlike anything they’ve ever seen before.
Tanke also told Frederick that the pizza delivery was Thibodeau’s idea: “It was a really fun surprise for the staff.”
