Vikings running back Adrian Peterson in a New York state of mind?

Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson decided to “send a message” on Wednesday night.

And it set the internet on fire.

Peterson is under contract with the Vikings, but the team is expected to ask him to take a pay cut or release him instead of paying the 31-year-old running back $18 million for the 2017 season.

The team must pay him a $6 million roster bonus by March 11 to exercise the 2017 option.

Nobody expects them to do that.

So Peterson took to Twitter on Wednesday with an interesting tweet.

The Giants recently cut RB Rashad Jennings, their rushing leader last season.

Ah, the offseason. So much fun.
